The Ishime line of ceramic works is the creation of Nobuhiko Tanaka. During the twenty years since we began selling this line in our stores, Mr. Tanaka’s style has undergone dramatic changes. Those familiar only with his current work might find it hard to believe that these pieces were made by the same person; indeed, it seems that he only uses these techniques today to make products for Time & Style. Tastes and values may change over time, but the popularity of Ishime endures. Even as Mr. Tanaka’s style continues to evolve, we know that there are timeless values to be found in the continuous production and sale of this line. The colors of Ishime pieces deepen with use, and their luster increases with each passing year.
