As its name suggests, Serenity embodies a sense of calm and tranquility. Composed of only the essential elements—a backrest, seat, and legs—the chair has an understated design that avoids unnecessary embellishment. The gently curved backrest and seat provide comfortable support, while the straight legs connect seamlessly to create a clean, cohesive form. 

The seat is woven with 3 mm diameter paper cord, providing both a delicate appearance and a firm, comfortable sitting experience. Sharp edges connect each component, emphasizing the simplicity of the design, while the gently rounded, drum-shaped cross-section of the legs introduces a softer quality. The result is a chair that combines a sharp, simple aesthetic with a sense of warmth and understated elegance. 

Serenity is available in both armless and armrest versions, each offered with either four legs or sled-style feet, with all variations sharing common components. 

Compared to four-legged construction, the sled-style feet provide a wider contact area with the floor, distributing weight across a surface rather than at individual points. This makes the chair less likely to wobble on soft carpets or tatami mats, while also helping to minimize marks on the floor. The sled-like form also allows the chair to slide smoothly, making it easier to pull out or put away.
