A table in the silent forest

The elements of this table are assembled with the simplest possible configuration; a tabletop, two legs, and a stretcher beam that serves to connect the legs.

From Japanese crafts, such as swords, lacquers, and to the form of its shrines and temples, this “static dynamism” is a uniquely Japanese aesthetic sense and the essence of making things to which its people aspire. We aimed for creating a table with such a quiet presence.
