A Sapporo sushi restaurant that was awarded 2 Michelin stars in 2017, Time & Style produced furniture for the restaurant when it relocates from Sapporo to Ginza, Tokyo in 2024. The combination of the unpainted cypress counter, carefully finished by underwater drying, and the chairs carved out of solid wood gives a sense of wood materiality and creates a sophisticated space. The waiting room is massive, but accented by the lightness of the brass-legged sofa and rounded chairs, creating a calm atmosphere. The combination of materials – wood, brass, and fabrics – and Japanese handcraftsmanship come together in this project.
