The bird chair was created in the image of a bird spreading its wings before flight. The cantilever backrest is supported by a frame where the armrests extend backward. Our goal was to offer a chair with a unique presence and a new modality.
The chair also required precision in the use of finger joints to join the complex form of the carved backrest raised at an angle from the back of the armrest. The rear and front legs are round bars shaped from solid wood. The armrests extend horizon- tally backward and extend passed the connecting point of the rear legs and rise at an angle.
