floating water table

This is a low table composed of a wide tabletop and wooden shelf board and a steel frame. The tabletop frame is slightly higher than the top board similar to a picture frame and a glass plate attached with the color film is used as the top board surface. The glass tabletop reflects the ceiling and the surrounding scenery evoking the surface of a lake because the frame adds depth just like looking into a lake.

It also gives an impression of a table floating in the air. The frame also has a function to stop an item from falling off the tabletop. The thin steel frame is designed to have a simple form to prevent it from standing out. The vertical round pipes and horizontal square pipes are welded to hold the tabletop. The lower shelf board is placed inside the steel pipes to emphasize the layered relationship of the tabletop and shelf in order to hide the presence of steel pipes. Black and white color choice are available for the glass used as the tabletop. The walnut wood shows different expressions between black and white tabletops. Each color will give its own impression in the space where the table is placed. The combination of the silver chromium-plated steel pipes, glass tabletop, and wood texture creates a modern atmosphere around the table. The neutral design will match well with any sofa.
